Coming off of another perfect season in C-League, we’re ready for another stellar summer!

If your swimmer is not a returning Sherwood Shark, he or she will attend tryouts on either Thursday or Friday.  The requirement for making the team is that your swimmer must be able to swim 1/2 the length of our 25 m pool unassisted.  We will have coaches in the water to help your swimmer if needed.  After completing the minimum requirement of swimming 1/2 the length of the pool, we will do a little bit of additional work with your swimmer to assess competency in the water so we can place him/her in the appropriate practice group.  Tryouts will be conducted first-come first-served and will typically take around 5 minutes to complete.

Following tryouts, your swimmer will be placed in a group that corresponds to the season’s practice days and times.  Swim groups will be posted on Saturday, May 17th.  The Swim & Dive page has a two week rolling schedule of practices and meets for the team.

If your swimmer is a returning Shark, you do not need to attend tryouts.  Instead, you can join us for the first practice of the season on Monday, May 19th!
