SUMMARY:2026 Swim Team Tryouts!
DESCRIPTION:Coming off of great first season in B-League\, we’re ready for another stellar summer! \nIf your swimmer will be new to the Sherwood Sharks this summer\, he or she will attend tryouts on either Thursday or Friday.  The requirement for making the team is that your swimmer must be able to swim 1/2 the length of our 25 m pool unassisted.  We will have coaches in the water to help your swimmer if needed.  After completing the minimum requirement of swimming 1/2 the length of the pool\, we will do a little bit of additional work with your swimmer to assess competency in the water so we can place him/her in the appropriate practice group.  Tryouts will be conducted first-come first-served and will typically take around 5 minutes to complete. \nFollowing tryouts\, your swimmer will be placed in a group that corresponds to the season’s practice days and times.  Swim groups will be posted on Saturday\, May 16th at 3:00pm.  We manage swim team registration\, practice schedules\, and meet schedules/signups through our Swimtopia annex site. \nIf your swimmer is a returning Shark\, you do not need to attend tryouts.  Instead\, you can join us for the first practice of the season on Monday\, May 18th! \nWe look forward to seeing you at tryouts\, and GO SHARKS!!!
